Looking for a Country Manager for China region, a critical position to startup new operations in China and develop the channel sales through monitoring and enhancing the performance.
Onboard: approx 2020 1-2nd quarter
Location: Shanghai or Beijing
For the initial months after onboard will be traveling to Europe about 3 months for strategy alignment, product lines, internal process project training.
Responsibilities:
1. Startup the new branch in China
2. Implement market access strategy before product launch to meet necessary goals and timelines
3. Prepare Marketing plans, control launches and sales plans, build up channel sales
4. Build constructive relationships among relevant stakeholders and liaise between the HQ, Chinese partners and other parties including wholesalers, customers, stakeholders to achieve optimal performance and defined goals
5. Implement marketing strategies in cooperation with the stakeholders to expand the market
6. Develop and monitor partnership KPIs
7. Communicate to HQ functions and internal stakeholders the latest developments of the alliance account
8. Deliver and exceed sales and profit targets for China, including additional opportunities to increase short and long-term revenue
9. Efficiently and proactively manage network of partners to ensure our products receive a priority focus. This includes working directly with the partner senior management, partner employees in provinces
10. Provide timely input on China-specific requirements to international Sales, Business Development and global Marketing on business and regulatory strategy, local packaging and other requirements for the development of business, New Product Launch and Marketing Plans to ensure successful introduction of product(s) in China
Requirements
*10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical business in China on the national level on the senior management role/s oriented on market access, marketing, sales
*Strong analytical, channel and marketing skills including needs analysis, business justification and closing methodologies
*Experience in communication and coordination with diverse stakeholders
*Demonstrated track record developing and managing partnerships and driving partner account activities
*Excellent understanding of business interdependencies and critical functions
*Excellent interpersonal communication skills and leadership qualities
*Persistent, flexible, motivated and team player with Hands-on mentality and thinking out-of-the-box attitude, ability to take responsibility for a whole project
*Project management and problem solving skills
*Degree in natural sciences, preferably life sciences (medicine, pharmacology, biology, etc.),
*Long experience of working at a European pharmaceutical company (medium size company with innovative products preferred)
*Able to travel at least 30% of the time
*Native level standard Chinese, fluent in English
